Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend! I hope you found a little time to do something crafty. Who noticed that I made a few small changes on my website last week?! It was time for a mini refresh, so I added a new home page sliding display and an updated photograph of myself. I'm happy with how the changes added a little more color and artisic flair to the website!
Well, it's Monday and every Monday means that we have a new challenge to share with you at the Inky Paws Challenge by Newton's Nook. Challenge #135 is a sketch challenge. Using the sketch shown in the image below, we want YOU to share your creations with us!
Here is the card I created inspired by the sketch:

*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post.
This A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I used a piece of miscellaeous woodgrain cardstock for the first 5 1/4" x 4" mat. I used a green piece of gingham paper and a strip of gold paper to create the diagonal lines of the sketch. In the lower right corner of the card I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. I stamped the poinsettia images from the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the white cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I die cut a white scalloped circle to act as a base or grounding point for the poinsettia flowers. I die cut the flowers using the coordinating Poinsettia Blooms die set. I adhered the flowers to the card using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for added sparkle.
Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along for a chance to win?! We will randomly select one linked entry to receive a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday, so that all entries have a chance to be featured on the Newton's Nook Designs blog. Please make sure you review the challenge rules page before you link up your project! Deadline to enter is Friday, November 6th, 2020, at midnight CST. XO, CrystalList of supplies:
