It's unofficially official - pumpkin spice season is practically here. . . Don't shush me! I know it's only August, but let's be real, the pharmacies and groceries stores have had Halloween candy on display since the 4th of July! So. . . if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! This past weekend, I pulled out my fall and Halloween stamps and I'm ready for rust hues and spooky boos. Today's card features the "Darling Mum" stamp set by Richard Garay Designs. This is a retiring stamp from the company, but it's so beautiful that I wanted to use it one last time before it goes into the retirement vault. Card details:The base of this A2 sized card is made from Crumb Cake cardstock. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs, I cut the background from Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I stamped the Darling Mum stamp set three times in Versamark ink on watercolor paper. I heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and then I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush markers. After the images dried, I fussy cut each flower out. I stamped the sentiment in rust ink on white cardstock and used an oval punch to punch it out. I adhered the three mums to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal List of supplies:

I have been experimenting a lot with watercolor recently. Last September I took two classes on watercoloring at the Scrapbook Expo in Ontario, California, and I was able to experiment with a variety of different mediums used for watercoloring. We learned about the Kuretake Gansai Watercolor Palette, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens, Zig Watercolor Clean Brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. These were great classes for me because I was able to discover certain mediums that I liked (Zig and Spectrum Noir) and others that I didn't thoroughly enjoy (Distress Crayons). For today's "blue-tiful" floral card, I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. These Sparkle pens are just like the Wink of Stella pens that we all love, except in color!

The base of this slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" inches. The base is made from Blue Raspberry cardstock. I cut a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock to mount onto the blue base. I stamped the sentiment in blue ink in the upper right hand corner of this white cardstock before adhering it to the card base. I stamped the large flower from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I die cut the flowers using the Beautiful Flowers die. I colored the large flower with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens in blues and green. Once the image dried, I adhered it to the slimline card using foam adhesive. I also punched some extra leaves out of blue and green sparkle paper, that I tucked behind the main image for added sparkle
I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
