Hello readers and happy Saturday, I hope you are enjoying a nice weekend so far. It's supposed to be a rainy day here today and since we haven't had many of those this summer - especially on a weekend, I'm looking forward to a lazy day!! Today I am sharing a fall themed card made using the "Fall Vibes" digital stamp set from Richard Garay Designs. I have been using a lot of digital stamps over the past year and I have really come to enjoy using them. If you are unsure about what digital stamps are, or what to do with them, please read this blog post I wrote that might answer a lot of your questions. Card details:*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post. The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Island Indigo cardstock and matted it directly to the card base. On a sheet of kraft cardstock, I stamped the Leafy Wall stamp set in kraft ink and ripped down the edges of both sides before adhering it to the indigo cardstock. I die cut a circle from vellum cardstock and adhered it to the center of the card. I printed out all the images from the digital Fall Vibes stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. I ran the images through my Scan and Cut 2 e-cutting machine to cut them out, in lieu of fussy cutting. I adhered the images to the card using 3M foam adhesive focusing on the wheel barrow as the central image. I added the sentiment in the lower left corner also using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Dazzling Pat to the leaves and pumkins for added sparkle. I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend! It's unofficially official - pumpkin spice season is practically here. . . Don't shush me! I know it's only August, but let's be real, the pharmacies and groceries stores have had Halloween candy on display since the 4th of July! So. . . if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! This past weekend, I pulled out my fall and Halloween stamps and I'm ready for rust hues and spooky boos. Today's card features the "Darling Mum" stamp set by Richard Garay Designs. This is a retiring stamp from the company, but it's so beautiful that I wanted to use it one last time before it goes into the retirement vault. Card details:The base of this A2 sized card is made from Crumb Cake cardstock. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs, I cut the background from Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I stamped the Darling Mum stamp set three times in Versamark ink on watercolor paper. I heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and then I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush markers. After the images dried, I fussy cut each flower out. I stamped the sentiment in rust ink on white cardstock and used an oval punch to punch it out. I adhered the three mums to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal List of supplies:Hello and happy Monday (again)! I had two cards that were due today, so you get a double dose of cuteness between both cards! I seem to be on a slimline cardmaking kit lately, so here is another one for you today using the fun "Little Mermaid" stamp set from Richard Garay Designs! The "Little Mermaid" stamp set is part of this month's RG Card Club kit subscription! Please see additional details below. Card details:*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post. This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Slimline cards are designed to fit into a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage. The base of this slimline card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, I created the background scene using Distress Oxide inks in the colors Broken China and Antique Linen. After I had the two colors sponged onto the paper, I layed a sunray stencil over the top blue ink and inked another, darker layer of Broken China to create rays in the water to show depth in my scene. I printed out the digital "Little Mermaid" stamp set onto Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock and colored the images using Copic markers. After all of the images were colored, I used my Brother Scan and Cut 2 electronic cutting machine to cut the images (rather than fussy cutting them). After the images were cut out began to assemble them onto the card using 3M foam adhesive for additional dimension. I added a coat of Dazzling Pat to many of the images for more sparkle. Lastly, I added a couple of clear rhinestones from one of the mermaids and fish to resemble bubbles. XO, CrystalList of supplies:Please don't be all confused by the title of today's post. . .Yes, I am very aware that it is the middle of July, which qualifies it as summer, and thus, the title should be "summer mail." But, the name of this stamp set from Richard Garay Designs is called "Spring Mail." And, in my traditional habit of always being behind, today we get spring mail, in the form of a peony filled envelope, in the summer! Card details:*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post. The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I matted a random scrap piece of black and gold foil paper with Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered both to the center of the card. I stamped the Spring Mail image in Versamark ink onto a piece of watercolor paper and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I colored the image using Zig Watercolor Brush pens. Once the image dried, I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the center of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I punched out a few extra leaves with a leaf punch and gold glitter paper. I stamped the sentiment "Hello Lovely" in Versamark ink and heat embossed it also in gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the sentiment and adhered it below the envelope and to the right of the card. Lastly, I added a few pink rhinestones for extra sparkle. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, CrystalList of supplies:Hello readers, I hope you are all enjoying a nice weekend! Today I am sharing a slimline card made using the new "Music On" digital stamp set by Richard Garay Designs. I think this is a really fun stamp set and I'm probably aging myself by saying I remember cassette tapes and walkman's from my own teenage years. And yes, absolutely I made my own mixed tapes back then too! Card details:This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized envelope and do not require additional postage. I cut a 8 " x 3" piece of white cardstock and stamped teh background splatter in Sweet Blue ink, Sour Watermelon Ink, Sweet Banana ink and Rich Cactus ink. I matted this white cardstock onto an 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Rich Cactus cardstock. I printed the "Music On' digital stamp set onto Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored in the cassette tapes with Copic markers. I cut the images out using my Scan ad Cut 2 electronic cutting machine, in lieu of fussy cutting. I adhered the cassette tapes to the card using 3M adhesive for added dimension. I printed out the digital sentiment and added it to the bottom of the card also using 3M foam adhesive. Here is the "Music On" digital stamp set that I used to create today's card: I hope you have enjoyed this fun "flashback to the 80's" card! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
