Happy Good Friday, friends! Today I am sharing two simple treat boxes that I created for Easter, though you could change them up to work for any holiday or event. These boxes would be perfect for a small amount of candy, gift cards, jewelry or other little trinkets. They measure approximately 4" x 3" x 2" and were made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box and the digital "Oh La La" stamp set from 88 and Clear. Project Details:*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post. To begin, I printed the digital "Oh La La" stamp set onto 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut 2 e-cutting machine to electronically cut the images out (in lieu of fussy cutting). One treat box was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and the other was made from Cotton Candy cardstock. I adhered the boxes together with red line tape for added strength. I embellished the boxes with strips of cardstock, patterned scalloped circles and gingham ribbon. I stuffed a little piece of green tissue paper in the box and filled them with Peanut M & M's. Happy Easter! I hope you have wonderful holiday weekend! XO, CrystalList of supplies:

Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend! I hope you found a little time to do something crafty. Today I am sharing another card that I made for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #120. This week we have a sketch challenge to inspire you. Our challenges run for two weeks, thereby giving you more time to create, so I have designed a second card to share with you this week that was still inspired by the same image seen below: Here is the Easter themed card I created inspired by the sketch and using the new "Hop into Spring" stamp set: Card details:The base of this A2 sized card is made from lemon yellow cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham paper in yellow to adhere directly to the card base. I cut a 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of pink floral paper from the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling paper pack. I adhered a think 4" by 1/2" piece of pink cardstock to the lower third of the card (notching the right end). I die cut a scalloped circle from lemon yellow cardstock using the Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched circles. I lined the scalloped circle with a white stitched circle. I cut a piece of grass using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside dies and adhere it to the bottom of the circle. On a separate piece of Neenah Solar White smooth carsdtock, I stamped the bunny and basket image. I colored the image and die cut it using the coordinating dies. I adhered the image to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment in the upper right corner of the circle in Memento Tuxedo black ink. Lastly, I added some clear Wink of Stella to the bunny and basket for added sparkle. Will this sketch inspire YOU to create? Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along for a chance to win?! We will randomly select one linked entry to receive a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday, so that all entries have a chance to be featured on the Newton's Nook Designs blog. Please make sure you review the challenge rules page before you link up your project! The deadline to enter is Friday, April 10th, at midnight CST. XO, CrystalList of supplies:
Hello friends and TGIF! I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend ahead! I am super excited because I am getting out of work early this afternoon to go to The Inspiration Station in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, for an afternoon of classes with my friends and Lawn Fawn's own Jenn Shurkus! If you are lucky enough to have Jenn come teach at a store near you, I highly encourage you to sign up for a class. Her classes are filled with tons of inspiration, helpful tips and tricks, and all around crafty fun. I can't wait to see and use (and mostly likely buy) all the new Lawn Fawn spring release products! : )
Be sure to follow along for some behind-the-scenes action here on my Instastories. Now, on to today's get well cards, which were entirely unplanned for today's post, yet somehow seem appropriate given the current state of the world. No one ever wants to have to send get well cards, but if you do, the "Take It Easy" stamp set and "Cozy Bed" dies from Papertrey Ink are perfect! Card details:
*A full list of supplies is available at the end of this post. Both cards were made the same way, I simply used a different color combination for each.
The base of each A2 sized card was either made from Balmy Blue or Pineapple Punch cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock as the first matted layer. In the upper left corner of each card I stamped the sentiment in the corresponding ink color. Using the Cozy Bed dies from Papertrey Ink, I die cut each bed scene from either yellow or blue cardstock. The patterned paper on the bedding is all from the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling 6" x 6" paper pack. I stamped the cute images (pajamas, hot water bottle, tissues box, newspaer, etc) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a separate sheet of white cardstock. I colored the images before adhering them to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. The fun thing about this "Take it Easy" stamp set is that you can customize your newspaper greetings with a whole array of fun sentiments or news headlines!
Thank you for taking the time to visit and I hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend!

Cats and candy! Can today get any better?! Okay, maybe if it were Friday already. . . Today I am sharing these M & M filled pillow box treats that I'll be giving to my friends at our upcoming annual craft retreat to the Cape. As our own little tradition, everyone attending (there are 8 of us in total) makes something small to give the others in the group. Sometimes it is a papercrafted item, but it doesn't have to be. In past years, there have also been small jars of homemade jelly and maple syrup, knitted hats, socks and embroidered tote bags! I'm lucky to have such talented and generous friends and family.
Project details:
*A full supply list (with shopping links) is located at the end of this post.
The base of the pillow box is made from 110# kraft cardstock. You will want to use a nice, thick cardstock as your base to ensure a sturdy box. First, I die cut a heart on one side of the pillow box and lined the inside with a piece of acetate. This will ensure nothing falls out of the hole! While the box is still flat (before assembly) I stamped the paw prints on both sides of the box in kraft ink. I also stamped the hearts in red ink. I assembled the two sides of the box using tear tape. You will want to use a good adhesive here like the tear tape (or red line tape) to ensure the box holds together well.
I filled the boxes with both plain and peanut M & M's. To each box I added a sentiment that was stamped in red ink on Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I notched the right edge of the sentiment strip. I die cut a large heart from red cardstock and a small heart from gold glimmer cardstock. I also stamped a variety of cats from the Newton's Nook Newton Loves Boxes and Newton's Antics stamp sets in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored the cat images with Copic markers and then adhered all of the pieces together on the outside of each pillow box with foam adhesive for added height and dimension.
I love using the Lawn Fawn Pillow Box die for small treats because of it's easy assembly. Some of those dies can be very challenging! Plus, it can be filled with so many different things from candy and gift cards to jewelry and more.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal

Hello readers! Welcome back to a more regular posting schedule here now that the holidays are over and things are slowly returning to normal again as we usher in the start of new year. I always look forward to a fresh start each January and I hope you are too! Today I am sharing a llama themed box card made from the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up. This is my go-to die for creating box cards. You can see this Halloween card in a box I made with it here, or my Grandpa's special 90th birthday pop-up card. This die really allows for lots of elements to be added in order to achieve the ultimate WOW factor. Card details:The base of this box card was made using Sweet Cane sugar stock. I lined the backside of the card with white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Black Taffy sugar cube on the backside of the box card. The side layers were cut from Rich Cactus sugar stock which was mounted behind a yellow polka dot cardstock. Because this is a digital stamp set, I printed all of the images from my computer onto Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. *To learn more about digital stamping, please read here. I colored in all of the printed images using Copic markers and added highlights to some of the images using a white Uniball gel pen. I added some grass to the card using the Whimsy Stamps Grass and Cloud Edger dies. I cut the grass from Rich Cactus sugar stock. Then I began to adhere the images to the card using foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I added a coat of Dazzling Pat to some of the images for added sparkle. Here is the Llamazing You stamp set from RG Avenue that I used to create today's card: I hope you have enjoyed this llamazing box card! Thanks for visiting and Happy New Year's Eve! XO, CrystalYou might also enjoy:Hello friends and Merry Christmas (though surely you are all enjoying the magic of being with your friends and families right now and hopefully not spending the day reading here)! But, in spite of Christmas, the rest of the world goes on and today is my last day sharing as a member of the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team. A new team is currently being selected and will be announced soon to kick off the new year. I am so grateful to Vanessa for selecting me to be a part of her team. I have discovered many new creative friends along the way and I have even been offered some amazing new opportunities that I will be announcing soon! Today I am sharing a pop-up card featuring the Do Re Me Ow stamp set from Trinity Stamps. It's a perfect set for me because of my love of cats and these punny sentiments are over the top! I purchased this stamp set (and many others!) when I was fortunate enough to visit the Butterfly Reflections Ink store on Black Friday this year. Card details (outside): The base of this A2 sized card is made from Kraft cardstock. I lined the base of the card with a piece of light blue watercolor paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper pack. I die cut the mountains from Balmy Blue cardstock using the Mama Elephant Snow Capped Mountain dies. The tops of the mountains were cut from Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. Along the bottom of the card, I created a curvy snowbank that I lined with a thin coat of Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter. I stamped the images (cats, lampost, box) from the Do Re Me Ow stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock and then I colored the images with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating Do Re Me Ow dies from Trinity Stamps to die cut the images after coloring. I adhered the images to the card using foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner and a few music notes all in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Card details (inside): The bottom of the inside of the card is a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I stamped the inside sentiment and music notes in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The top of the inside of the card is another light blue piece of watercolor paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper pack. I heat embossed some white snowflakes over the paper. To create the pop-up component, I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Pop-Up die and cut it out from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I added a layer of Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter to each of the "snowbanks." I stamped all of the cat images, fences and lamposts in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Do Re Me Ow dies to cut out the colored images and adhered them to the inside of the card to create a scene. Lastly, I added some more music notes stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink. Merry Christmas, friends! May you be blessed with the spirit of the season which is PEACE, the gladness of the season which is HOPE, and the heart of the season which is LOVE. XO, Crystal
Hello friends! Today I am sharing this multiple interactive card on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. I put off purchasing this adorable "Mice On Ice" stamp set for as long as I possibly could, but in a war between my wallet and Lawn Fawn products, my wallet loses. Nearly every single time! I added three different interactive components all on this one A2 sized card. The bottom left corner is a shaker, the top left mice are on Mini Action Wobbles and the mice on the top right are only visible when you lift the flap.
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Lawn Fawn Peekaboo Backdrop Lawn Cuts, I cut the frame from raspberry cardstock. On the top upper right corner, I added a lift the flap die to the frame. I stamped the sentiment in raspberry ink. I stamped all of the mice images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored the images with Copic markers and then used the coordinating Mice on Ice Lawn Cuts to die cut the images out. On the lower right side of the card, I lined the frame with a small piece of pink plaid cardstock from the Sunny Studios Classic Gingham 6 x 6" paper pack. I then handcut a white snowbank to fill the square and added two mice with foam adhesive.
On the upper left side of the card, I lined the frame again with a small piece of pink plaid cardstock from the Sunny Studios Classic Gingham 6 x 6" paper pack. I then handcut a white snowbank to fill the square and added two mice with this time on a Mini Action Wobble Spring, so that when you touch them they jiggle, or wobble.
In the lower left corner of the card, I created a mini shaker. I lined the back of the rectangle with a piece of acetate film. I placed approximately one tablespoon of Iridescent Diamond Dust behind the frame and layered the frame with foam adhesive to give the Iridescent Diamond Dust room to move when you shake it. I added two more little skating mice on top of the shaker and the word "happy" which I stamped in raspberry ink and cut with the coordinating Mice on Ice Lawn Cuts dies.
I hope you have enjoyed this very interactive card! It was a lot of fun to conceptualize and create.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal

Happy Tuesday readers! I returned yesterday from a 3-day craft retreat in Connecticut with my mom and several friends. Today I am sharing another one of the little treats I made for everyone. As I mentioned last week, it's become a bit of a tradition that when we attend a retreat, we each make little gifts for everyone else attending. It doesn't necessarily have to be paper-crafted either. We have some knitters in our group who have knitted hats, and this year my mom made jam for everyone! Fortunately, it is a small group of six, so it doesn't entail copious amount of work or supplies. It's simply for the fun of it. On the first day of the retreat I gave everyone these hot cocoa treat holders, and on Day 3 I left these these "turkey treats" filled with candy on everyone's table.
Project details:
These Lawn Fawn Fancy Box dies were cut from Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I adhered a small 3 1/4" 2 1/2" piece of acetate to the underside of the box window before adhering the entire box together with tear tape. I stamped the sentiment in Crushed Curry ink on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and notched the right end. The turkey was made using the Patchwork Turkey die by Impression Obsession. I cut the body of the turkey from Early Espresso and Crumb Cake cardstock. The nose, legs and hearts were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The turkey feathers were made from miscellaneous scrap papers. I drew on his eyes with a black Sharpie marker. *Note, I realized AFTER I made my turkeys that the orange hearts should have been his wings! Oops!!
Here is the Lawn Fawn Fancy Box die I used to create today's treat holders:
I have been loving the simplicity of dies to create treat holders with. I was able to put together both the Lawn Fawn Fancy Box and Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag dies without instruction, so that shows how easy they are to assemble!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal
Hi friends! Today I am sharing this winter treat project on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink website. Next weekend, four girlfriends, my mom, and I are going on our annual craft retreat in Connecticut. I'm looking forward to a long three-day weekend of crafting, chatting and chillaxing! This weekend might be particularly chilly too because our local news is already starting to report the first snow for Friday! It looks like I picked the perfect treat to make for everyone. It's kind of a tradition for each of us to make small gifts for the other ladies when we go on one of these retreats. This year I chose to put hot cocoa packets into these Lawn Fawn goodie bags! I wanted to also attach a candy cane, but surprisingly enough I couldn't find any in my local CVS or craft store and Amazon wanted $18 for a dozen! That's just plain crazy!
Project details:
I chose three colors that are one of my favorite winter combos - Red, turquoise and kraft. I think these colors are very fun, fresh and festive. I cut the bags using the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die. *Note, each bag does take a full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper, so it does consume a fair amount of paper. I assembled the bag using Lawn Fawn 1/4" tear tape.
To decorate each goodie bag, I used the Holiday Skates stamp set from Avery Elle. I stamped two skates, one candy cane and two branches for each bag. I stamped the skates and candy cane in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped the branches in both kraft ink and turquoise ink and used the coordinatingHoliday Skates die Elle-ments to cut them out.
I stamped the sentiment "your friendship warms my heart" in Versamark ink on red, kraft or turquoise cardstock and heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder. The sentiment is from the Concord & 9th Winter Wear stamp set. I die cut each sentiment out using the Lawn Fawn Fancy Folded Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered the skates to the front of the goodie bag using foam adhesive and tied a little bow in red ribbon at the top. I adhered the ribbon with glue dots. Lastly, I put a packet of hot cocoa and some tissue paper in the bag and adhered the sentiment to the top of the bag.
These goodie bags were quick and easy to make and I think my friends will really enjoy sipping their cocoa when we are all gathered together in the living room next weekend catching up on the last year's worth of life events.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, Crystal
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another Lawn Fawn Double Slider Surprise card with you this time featuring a Christmas theme! Last week I shared both a fall themed double slider card and a Halloween double slider card because I've been having so much fun with them. Once I learned how to use this fun interactive die, making these cards became SO much easier. The age old adage is true, "practice really does make perfect." Now to master that Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer. . .
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I lined the base of the card with a piece of red and green plaid paper. I made the double slider out of Crumb Cake cardstock. In order to assemble the base double slider component I followed the Lawn Fawn Double Slider Introduction video on YouTube by Kelly Marie Alvarez. This step-by-step tutorial is excellent for learning to assemble this die at a beginner level. I stamped all of the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored them using Spectrum Noir markers. I also added small detailed highlights to each image with a Uniball white gel pen. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler link and notched both ends before adhering it to the card. I also added Lawn Fawn Prisma Glitter to many of the white spaces on the elves and Santa's hat. I always use a Quickie Glue Pen in order to add my Prisma Glitter. *One last thing to note, when you make one of these slider cards, be sure that all of the pieces on the two slider pull-outs (the left and right side) are adhered directly to the card itself. You cannot use foam adhesive to "pop" these images, or the slider will not operate correctly. I only used foam adhesive on the front piece of the slider (for the elf, present, sentiment, reindeer and Christmas tree).
I combined two stamps sets from My Favorite Things in order to complete this card:
I also used the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Push Here" to add instructions to the pull-tabs:
I hope you are enjoying these double slider surprise cards as much as I am.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day! I'll be enjoying an extra long holiday weekend, so I'll see you back here next Tuesday! XO, Crystal
