Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope you found a little time to do something crafty.  It's never too early to start your handmade holiday cards!  It's Monday and that means we have a new challenge to share with you at Inky Paws.  Challenge #137 is a color challenge using red, evergreen, lime green and white.  So, if you're looking for some Christmas inspiration, let's see what you can create using these fun colors!
Picture
For my card, I used the new Nutcrackers stamp set and coordinating dies along with the challenge colors:

Card details:

*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  I used a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of lime green argyle cardstock from the Sunny Studios Argyle paper pack.  Using the Frames and Flags die set, I cut a scalloped rectangle from white cardstock and adhered it to the center of the card.  Using the Circle Frames dies, I cut a large circle out of vellum and adhered it to the center of the scalloped rectangle.  I stamped the two nutcrackers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colored the images using Copic markers.  I used the coordinating Nutcracker dies to die cut the two nutcrackers out.  I also die cut the words "Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum" from red cardstock, using the Nutcracker dies.  I adhered the two nutcrackers to either side of the scalloped circle with 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.  Using a Lawn Fawn liquid glue tube, I adhered the words between the two nutcrackers.  Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the nutcrackers for added sparkle.

Inky Paws Challenge #136

Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope you found a little time to do something crafty.  Unfortunately ours was filled with garage cleaning, leaf cleanup and cooking, so there wasn't much fun or relaxing time to be had.
Well, it's Monday and today I am sharing another card that I made for the
Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge.  Week number two of Challenge #136 is continuing on with choosing your favorite NND stamp set!   Our challenges run for two weeks, thereby giving you more time to create, so I have designed a second card to share with you this week that was still inspired by the same image seen below:
Picture
In full disclosure, this week I selected the "Festive Fawns" stamp set as my favorite simply because the images were already colored leftover from another card I had made last year!  So, yes, this might be cheating just a little bit, but I'm all for "work smarter, not harder!"  : )
Picture

Card details:

*A full supply list is located at the end of this post.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  I created the background by using alcohol inks ink pink, coral and lemonade on Yupo paper.  I die cut four white birch trees using the Forest Scene Builder die set.  I adhered the trees to the background before cutting a snowbank from white cardstock using the Land Borders die set.  I stamped the sentiment in pink ink on the lower left side of the snowbank.  I stamped the critters from the Festive Fawns stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black in on white cardstock and colored the images using Copic markers.  I used the coordinating Festive Fawns dies to cut the images out.  I adhered the images to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.  Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the images for added sparkle.

Card details:

This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Slimline cards are designed to fit into a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage.  The base of this slimline card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  Using the Slimline Frames dies, I die cut the frame from gold foil cardstock.  I lined the back size of the frame with some yellow gingham miscellaneous scrap papers.  I stamped the flower images multiple times in Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock.  I colored the flowers with Copic markers and then die cut them using the coordinating Hummingbird dies.  I also stamped the hummingbird in black ink and colored it with Copic markers before die cutting it.  I adhered the images to the card using 3M foam adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink on a thin strip of white cardstock.  I adhered the sentiment to the top of the card notching the left side.  Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the images for added sparkle.

Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope you found a little time to do something crafty.  Last week was my "off" shift from work and I would love to tell you that I spent a lot of time crafting, but in reality I have been doing nothing but home improvement projects!  We have done everything from cleaning out closets and the attic to painting, landscaping and installing new kitchen countertops!  This has been a very costly quarantine!
Today I am sharing another card that I made for the
Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #125.  This week we have a color challenge to inspire you.  Our challenges run for two weeks, thereby giving you more time to create, so I have designed a second card to share with you this week that was still inspired by the same image seen below:

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.  I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of scrap yellow polka dot paper for the first layer.  Using the Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies, I die cut a 4" rectangle from white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the three lemons from the Newton's Nook Lemon Twist stamp set on white scrap paper and colored them in using Copic markers.  I used the coordinating Lemon Twist dies to cut the lemons out.  I adhered three lemons down the left side of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.  Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the lemons and leaves for added sparkle.

Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope you found a little time to do something crafty.  Today I am sharing another card that I made for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #117.  This week we have a sketch challenge to inspire you.  Our challenges run for two weeks, thereby giving you more time to create, so I have designed a second card to share with you this week that was still inspired by the same image seen below:

Here is the card I created using the sketch seen above:

Card details:

*A full supply list is located at the end of this post.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from white cardstock.  I had previously created an alcohol ink background where I used pastel colors and mounted that onto a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Melon Mambo cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment repeatedly in Melon Mambo ink on a strip of Melon Mambo cardstock and ran it through a stitched scalloped die before adhering it to the center bottom of the card.  I also cut a 3 1/2" x 1/2" piece of silver glitter paper, notched both ends and adhered it to the center of the card.  I cut a 4" x 2" piece of white cardstock to create a tag and punched the top of the tag with a scalloped tag topper punch.  I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink on the top of this tag.  I stamped the kitty and chicks image from the "Newton's Peeps" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers.  I added a few highlights with a white gel pen.  I adhered the kitty image to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added height.  Lastly, I put a coat of Clear Wink of Stella on the basket for added sparkle.

Hello friends and happy Monday!  I hope you are enjoying an extra day off this weekend like I am.  I am excited to be sharing my card for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge today.  I frequently hear from friends and fellow stampers that they aren't creative enough to design something on their own, or that they don't know what colors to use.  They feel frustrated before they even begin because they don't know where to begin.  I understand!  Yes, I've been there too!  That's the concept behind a card challenge.  It can help to inspire you and get the creative juices flowing by giving you a place to start.  Challenge #117 by Newton's Nook is a sketch challenge.  Let the sketch below be your inspiration for creating a card (or scrapbook page) and see where this challenge takes you!

Here is the St. Patrick's Day themed card I created inspired by the sketch above:

Card details:

A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from black cardstock.  I lined the black cardstock with a piece of green plaid paper.  I adhered a 4 1/2" x 2" strip of black cardstock across the bottom center of the card.  I also cut a 3 1/2" x 1/2" piece of gold glitter paper.  I notched both ends of gold glitter paper before adhering to the center of the card.  I cut a tag measuring 4" x 2" from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and punched the top of the tag with a punch tag topper (retired from Stampin' UP!)  I heat embossed the sentiment and four leaf clovers on the tag with white embossing powder.  I stamped the pot of gold image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and fussy cut the image out.  I colored the stamp with Copic alcohol ink markers and adhered it to the card's tag with 3M foam adhesive.  Lastly, I tied a bow using lime green Lawn Fawn cord and adhered the bow with a glue dot.

Hello readers and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope you found a little time to do something crafty.  I got home last night from a week of crafting on the Cape with five friends, my mom and my aunt.  We have made this craft trip an annual vacation every February, and it's come to be one of my favorite vacations of the year!  One whole week of uninterrupted craft time and no crappy household responsibilities (like laundry, cooking and cleaning) is just pure H-E-A-V-E-N!

Today I am sharing another card that I made for the
Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #116.  This week we have a color challenge to inspire you.  Our challenges run for two weeks, thereby giving you more time to create, so I have designed a second card to share with you this week that was still inspired by the same image seen below:

Card details:

*A full supply list is located at the end of this post.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from white cardstock.  I used a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of teal paper from the Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham paper pack.  Using the Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangled, I die cut a medium sized rectangle from red cardstock.  I matted that red cardstock with a 4" x 3" piece of white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment "winter is warmer together" in coastal cabana ink in the top right corner.  I also tied a piece of Lawn Fawn lime cord around the base of this cardstock.  On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped the large image of snowmen in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  I then colored the image with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut out the snowmen.  I adhered the snowmen to the center of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.  Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the snowmen for added sparkle.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from white cardstock.  Using the Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies, I cut a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock to mat to the card base.  I then cut a 3" x 3" piece of Lawn Fawn plaid paper for the background.  I cut a 3" x 2" strip of white cardstock as the "floor.  I adhered a thin strip of white cardstock as the baseboard dividing the plaid and white cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black ink on the lower right corner of the white cardstock.  I created two small floating shelves by using thin strips of white cardstock.  I stamped all of the images (cats, pill bottles, tissues, bandaids, etc. ) in Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers.  I cut the images using the coordinating die cuts.  I adhered all of the images to the card with 3M foam adhesive for added dimension.

Many of my followers know that I am a cat lover, so I think all you dog fans will be pleasantly surprised with today's "adora-bull" card featuring the "Fabulous Frenchies" stamp set by Newton's Nook!  I will admit, they are all very cute little bulldogs!
Picture

Card details:

*A full supply list (with shopping links) is located at the end of this post.

The base of this slimline card is made from red cardstock.  This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2."  It will fit inside a regular business sized #10 envelope. I lined the card base with a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of black and white gingham printed paper.  I die cut four heart from red carsdstock.  On each heart I randomly stamped animal paw prints in red ink.  I adhered all four hearts to the center of the card slightly overlapping each one to ensure they would all fit.
Picture
I stamped all of the images (dogs and balloons) in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock.  I colored all of the images with Copic markers and added highlights to the images using a white Uniball gel pen.  I adhered the bulldogs to the card using foam adhesive.  I added the balloon to the last bulldog's tail.  I also punched small hearts from pink and red cardstock and adhered them to the card in another balloon shape on the second bulldog's tail.  I then added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to all the bulldogs for added sparkle.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "adora-bull" in red ink on white cardstock and notched the right side before adhering to the card with foam adhesive.
