Hello friends and happy Fri-YAY, I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend ahead! I’m excited to share with you that today I am participating in a fun blog hop to celebrate the new Springish Fiesta digital stamp release from Joy Clair Designs. Please continue reading to the end of this post for all the details about the blog hop to include a list of prizes and stops along the way!
Here is a slimline card I created using the Good Luck digital stamp set.
This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage. The base of this slimline card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. On an 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of white cardstock, I used a basket weave embossing folder and this became the first layered mat of my card. Then I die cut six 2 1/2" hearts out of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple cardstock. I adhered the hearts down the card in a ROYGBIV rainbow pattern.
I printed out the lollipops from the Good Luck digital stamp set on Neenah Solar white cardstock. I colored them using Copic markers, also in rainbow colors. I fussy cut each lollipop and adhered the lollipop over its corresponding color heart. I used 3M foam adhesive to adhere the lollipops for added dimension. I printed the sentiment and adhered that to the top right of the card also using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the lollipops for more sparkle. You can never have enough sparkle!

Hello readers and happy Fri-YAY! I thought we'd take a break from the traditional holiday cards this time of year and enjoy this fun mermaid slimline card as we head into the weekend. This sweet image is a new digital release called Mermaid Hair from 88 and Clear. The package deal (seen at the end of this post) offers both the digital stamp and the coordinating digital paper.
This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2." Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized mailing envelope and require no additional postage. The base of this card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I cut a 8" x 3" piece of Mermaid Hair Print #2 and placed it beneath a circular slimline frame. I printed out the mermaid images from the Mermaid Hair digital stamp set and colored the images with Copic markers. I fussy cut the images and adhered them to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I added a couple colored beads to the card for more dimension. Lastly, I add a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the mermaids for added sparkle. You can never have enough sparkle on a mermaid!

Hello crafty readers and happy 1st of October! The Design Team at Joy Clair Designs is excited to share the October 2021 mood board designed to help inspire YOU to create. Mood boards (also commonly called “inspiration” boards) are a combination of colors, images, textures and patterns that can offer guidance or direction.
If you feel like you don’t know where to begin a project, try looking at a mood board and let the creative juices flow. You might just be surprised by the end result!
This month’s mood board is inspired by the colors and images of Halloween. But you are welcome to create for any season, holiday or occasion, as long as your project incorporates these colors. We’d love to see you use Joy Clair Designs stamp set too, if you have them. If you don’t have any, you can start shopping NOW!
Here is a card that I created using this month's mood board colors combined with the boots stamp from the Extraordinary digital stamp set:
The base of this A2 sized card was made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. First, I cut the first matted layer from the same white cardstock using a scalloped rectangle frame. Then, I cut a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of black cardstock. Additionally, I adhered a 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of white cardstock directly on the top of the black cardstock.
I printed out the boots from the Extraordinary digital stamp set on white cardstock. I increased the size to 75%. Then, I colored the boots using Copic markers in G03, Y13, Y17, YR09, YR68, YR02, C4, C7 and YG41. Additionally, I fussy cut around the boots and adhered the boots to the card using 3M foam adhesive.
I wanted this card to look more fall themed, so I stamped some of the leaves from the Love Endures stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them using the same Copic markers. Also, I fussy cut the leaves and adhered them to the card. Then, I printed the sentiment from the Extraordinary digital stamp set on white cardstock and adhered it to the card. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the entire image for added sparkle.
We would love to see YOU create using this mood board as inspiration too! Feel free to use similar colors in whatever brand of cardstock you have readily available. Today I am sharing a card I designed for Joy Clair Designs using the beautiful Spring Rose digital stamp set. If you are interested in learning more about working with digital stamps, please read this post. Over the past two years, I have really enjoyed working with digital stamps mostly for the simple ability to resize them, as I did for this card.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Waffle Flower Angled Strips background die, I die cut the background from white cardstock. I printed the sentiment from the Joy Clair Designs Spring Stamp set onto 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and die cut it using a 2 1/2" Scalloped Circle Die from Lawn Fawn. I printed the flowers in two different sizes and colored them using Copic markers.
I adhered the sentiment circle to the upper right corner of the card using 3M foam adhesive. I added the two roses to the card also using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for added sparkle.
I love how this card turned out, simple and elegant. I might even make the same card in a few other colors! This card would work well for a variety of occasions from birthday and get well soon, to sympathy and thinking of you.
Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello readers! Today I am over on the Joy Clair Designs blog sharing some fun rainbow colored cards using both the Spring Rose and Funny Times digital stamp sets from Joy Clair Designs. I love using rainbow colors on my cards, because I think it just makes them extra cheerful and uplifting no matter what images are used.
For this first A2 sized card, I used a piece of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock for my base. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of black cardstock for the first mat which I adhered directly to the card base. I placed a 2" x 5 1/4" piece of black and gold foiled patterned paper down the left side of the card. I enlarged the hot air balloon to about 60% from the Funny Times digital stamp set and printed it onto Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and fussy cut the image out. I adhered the hot air balloon to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I also printed the sentiment onto white cardstock and die cut it using a 3" stitched oval circle. I adhered the sentiment to the balloon using Tombow adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the balloon for added sparkle.
For this second A2 sized card, I used the same card base of 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I heat embossed a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of black cardstock with a grunge background stamp and adhered it directly to the card base. I printed one of the roses from the beautiful Spring Rose digital stamp set and enlarged it 50%. I colored the image with Copic markers in rainbow colors and adhered it to the center of the card using 3M foam adhesive. I printed out the sentiment on white cardstock and used a decorative punch to punch out the shape. I placed a little white twine on the center of the rose and the sentiment on top of the twine. I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the rose for added sparkle.
I hope you have enjoyed these cards. You can see more of my designs on Instagram, Facebook and on my YouTube channel. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
Hello and welcome back from the weekend! I hope you all found a little time to do something crafty.
Last week I shared some cards that were made using pre-created Distress Oxide ink backgrounds after I had taken an online class with Jenn Shurkus. Today's card uses another of those backgrounds, which made this card come together really quick and easy!
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. On a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of the same white cardstock, I ink blended Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar using the Tim Holtz Mini Round Ink Blender. Over that background I laid the Music Stencil from Newton's Nook and sponged more Picked Raspberry ink through the stencil. I removed the stencil and spritzed the paper with a little bit of water. I set this background aside to dry. Using the digital Bloom Book stamp from 88 and Clear I printed the stamp out on Neenah white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and then I fussy cut the flowers out. I adhered the flowers to the card with 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on a thin strip of black cardstock and then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I notched the left side of the sentiment and adhered it to the top right of the card using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for added sparkle.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello and happy Friday! Friday's always make me smile. I hope today's card will make you smile too with it's fun sherbet-like colors and cheerful spring peonies!
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. On a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Distress Heavystock paper, I watercolored the background using a small paintbrush and Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade . I set this piece aside to dry. Using the digital Rich Peonies stamp set from 88 and Clear, I printed these digital stamps out on Neenah white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. I used my Brother Scan and Cut 2 e-cutting machine to cut the images out in lieu of fussy cutting. I adhered the flowers to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I added a little bit of linen thread in the middle of the flowers and placed the sentiment stamped in pink ink on white cardstock over the thread. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for added sparkle.
I hope you have a great weekend and that you find the time to do something crafty!

Hello friends and happy Friday! On Wednesday, I mentioned that my mother and I had recently spent a weekend creating and playing with Distress Oxide inks to create backgrounds for future cards. Today's card utilizes another one of those backgrounds and I love, love, love all the blues on this card! Not only is blue my favorite color, but hydrangeas are my favorite flower, so this card makes me so happy.
*A full supply list is located at the end of this post.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. On a 5 1/4 x 4" piece of Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended Distress Oxide inks in Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky. Once the ink dried, I layed the Newton's Nook Designs Music stencil over the ink and added Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste to the stencil with a spatula. I peeled off the stencil to reveal the beautiful glittery music note backgound. I let the background dry.
I die cut a white octagon and placed it on the center left of the card. The hydrangea flower is actually a digital stamp from Twinklelane Designs. I printed the flower out on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored it using Copic markers. I fussy cut the flower out and adhered it to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment in blue ink on white cardstock and punched it out with an oval punch. I adhered the sentiment to the left of the flower using 3M foam adhesive.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card as much as I do! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
List of supplies:
On a recent weekend visiting with my mom, we spent an entire day playing with Distress Oxide inks. We had taken an online class with Jenn Shurkus and wanted to simply play and create backgrounds only without the added pressure of making fully completed cards. The end result? We had about 20 backgrounds each to tuck away for future cards. Today's card uses one of those previuosly created backgrounds, so it made this card real quick and easy to complete.
*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post.
The base this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. Using a piece of Bristol Smooth paper, I ink blended Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron and Shabby Shutters all over the 5 1/4" x 4" piece of watercolor paper. I spritzed the paper with water to add little droplets. Then I used a stencil (sorry, I cannot recall the name or even brand of the stencil) and placed it over the background and spread Nuvo Moonstone Glitter paste to achieve that sparkly textured background. I printed out the Special and Kind digital stamp set from 88 and Clear on Neenah White cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I used a Scan and Cut 2 electronic cutting machine to cut the images, in lieu of fussy cutting. I adhered the images to the center of the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I added the sentiment in the lower right corner. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the sunflower images for added sparkle.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
