Hello friends, today I'm excited to share more new release products with you from Whimsy Stamps. This is the "Happy Sky" stamp set and Rainbow 6" paper pack. If you recall, last week I shared with you the beautiful Rainbow paper pack too and it is just so full of color. I've received so many compliments on my cards and I tell them the secret is in the paper! Here is the Happy Sky stamp set and Rainbow paper pack that I used to create these cards: Card details:The base of this A2 sized card is a piece of kraft cardstock. Using the Peekaboo Window Frame die, I cut a piece of white cardstock. I put a small piece of Rainbow paper behind each window of the frame that coordinated with the balloons colors. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black ink in the lower right hand corner of the frame. I then stamped each of the hot air balloons directly ON the rainbow paper (no need to color!!) and the fussy cut the balloons out and adhered them to the card with foam adhesive. I used the coordinating Happy Sky dies to cut clouds out of each coordinating color of rainbow paper. I added highlights to all of my images using a white Uniball gel pen. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to all the images for added sparkle. Here is the second card I created using the same Happy Sky stamp set and Rainbow paper pack: I hope you are enjoying these fun new products from Whimsy Stamps. I still will have more to share with you tomorrow! XO, CrystalYou might also enjoy:

Happy Saturday, friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! It is a very exciting day today for a variety of reasons, 1) I'm home packing right now as we leave tomorrow for our annual craft retreat on the Cape, and, 2) I'm excited to share with you the new February release from Whimsy Stamps! Today I will be focusing on the "Best Fishes" stamp set and Rainbows paper pack. But, if you would like to see more of the new release products, please click here for the Whimsy Stamps website.
I have three very different cards to share with you today that were all created using the same "Best Fishes" stamp set and Rainbows paper pack. You NEED this paper! It is so full of fun patterns and vibrant colors and they will add so much color and WOW to your projects.
Card details:
The base of this card is made from Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I mounted a piece of black cardstock to the top half of the card and a piece of the Rainbow Paper Pack to the bottom. I then added a small piece of white cardstock to the top again. I stamped the sentiment "Seas the Day" in Memento Black ink on the center of this cardstock. I stamped each of the fish in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. I added a few highlights to each fish with a white gel pen. I cut the fish out using my Scan and Cut 2 e-cutting machine. I adhered the fish to the center of the card in a rainbow array using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the fish for added sparkle and a couple clear rhinestones to resemble bubbles.
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Crumb Cake cardstock. Using the Whimsy Stamps Peekaboo 1 die, I cut the frame from white cardstock. I then adhered a piece of the Rainbow Paper Pack paper behind the window frame to let the rainbow colors shine through. I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped three of the fish from the Best Fishes stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock and colored them using Copic Markers. I cut the fish out using my Scan and Cut 2 e-cutting machine. I added a few highlights to each fish using a white gel pen. I adhered the fish to the card using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the fish for added sparkle and a couple clear rhinestones to resemble bubbles.
And finally, here is the last card I created using these same products. Look at that beautiful rainbow bokeh background and it was all created with just a simple piece of paper!
I hope you have enjoyed this first look at the February release from Whimsy Stamps. I'll be taking next week off to fully enjoy my vacation, but, I will see you back here on Tuesday, February 11th, with MORE of this month's release from Whimsy Stamps!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative weekend! XO, Crystal
As per my usual, I am late to creating this New Year's celebration card, but honestly this time it's not my fault! I never received this fun 2020 Uni stamp set from RG Avenue until last weekend. But, it is so darn adorable that I couldn't wait to create with it regardless if it's January 9th or not. Technically, it is still the New Year! But, this stamp set could also work for birthdays, if you just didn't use the little unicorns with the "2020" or "Happy New Year" banners.

This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". The base is cut from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Slimline Windows die from Whimsy Stamps, I cut the frame from purple cardstock. I lined the back of the frame with a piece of purple lined paper from the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow paper pack. Because this is a digital stamp, I printed the sheet image on Neenah White Solar Smooth cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I then ran the image sheet through my Scan and Cut 2 which cut the images out for me. I adhered the images to the card using foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly, I added a coat of Dazzling Pat for added sparkle. Magical Decade Bundle

I have been experimenting a lot with watercolor recently. Last September I took two classes on watercoloring at the Scrapbook Expo in Ontario, California, and I was able to experiment with a variety of different mediums used for watercoloring. We learned about the Kuretake Gansai Watercolor Palette, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens, Zig Watercolor Clean Brushes and Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. These were great classes for me because I was able to discover certain mediums that I liked (Zig and Spectrum Noir) and others that I didn't thoroughly enjoy (Distress Crayons). For today's "blue-tiful" floral card, I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. These Sparkle pens are just like the Wink of Stella pens that we all love, except in color!

The base of this slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" inches. The base is made from Blue Raspberry cardstock. I cut a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock to mount onto the blue base. I stamped the sentiment in blue ink in the upper right hand corner of this white cardstock before adhering it to the card base. I stamped the large flower from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I die cut the flowers using the Beautiful Flowers die. I colored the large flower with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens in blues and green. Once the image dried, I adhered it to the slimline card using foam adhesive. I also punched some extra leaves out of blue and green sparkle paper, that I tucked behind the main image for added sparkle
I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!

Hello friends and happy Monday! Can you believe that we are only TWO days away from Christmas!? Today I am taking a break from Christmas themed cards to share with you this fun stamp set from RG Avenue called "Sweet Celebration." This digital stamp is part of the December Designer Release. After seeing all of the sweets included in this stamp set there was no way I was going to pick between them! So, I decided to make a slimline card fitting as many yummy treats on this one card as I possibly could!
Yes, this is what I call a happy balance. And by balance, I mean ALL the treats! : ) Card details:
The base of this slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". The base cardstock is made from Berry Burst cardstock. I cut a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Bristol Smooth cardtock and ink blended two colors of Distress Oxide inks in Antique Linen and Pickled Raspberry. I then ink splattered Berry Burst all over the card before adhering it to the base. Because the Sweet Celebrations stamp set was a digital stamp set, I printed out the entire sheet of stamps and colored in all the images with Copic markers. I then fed the colored sheet through my Scan and Cut to cut all the images for me. Yay for no fussy cutting! I then began to adhered the images to the card in a layout that was pleasing to the eye using foam adhesive for added dimension. Lastly I added a coat of Dazzling Pat to all of the sweets for added sparkle!
I hope you have enjoyed today's super sweet card! As always, thank you for taking the time to visit.

Hello readers and happy Friday! I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend ahead. I will be holding my last stamp camp OF THE DECADE (that still sounds funny!) tomorrow morning. After that, I will begin my annual holiday baking. Each year I bake huge trays of cakes, cookies, bars, biscotti and more for my office, my husband's office, our friends and neighbors, the mailman, and yet there is still enough to freeze for our family on Christmas! I will be covered in flour dust and confectionery sugar by sundown on Sunday. I will also have probably eaten my weight in cookie dough and vow to NEVER bake another cookie again in my life! : )
Today I am sharing two cards that were created using the RG Avenue monthly card subscription kit. You can read more about these kits below. While this month's stamp set is called "Birthday Blooms," I saw that truck and immediately thought of Christmas. So, yes, along with birthdays, you can make this set work for other occasions too!
Here is the Birthday Blooms digital stamp set I used to create these cards:
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah White Solar Smooth cardstock. I cut a 4 1/4" x 3" piece of holiday plaid paper and placed it on the left side of the card front. On the right side of the card I splattered Black Taffy ink. Using the Gina Marie Stitched Nesting Circles, I die cut a large circle from white cardstock. I printed the digital Birthday Blooms stamp set out on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored the images using Copic markers. I ran the colored images through my Scan & Cut to cut them for me. I adhered the truck to the center of the large circle using foam adhesive. I adhered the sentiment in the upper right corner also using foam adhesive. Lastly, I tied a red satin ribbon around the card for added texture.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah White Solar Smooth cardstock. I cut a 4 1/4" x 3" piece of pink floral patterned paper and placed it on the left side of the card front. On the right side of the card I splattered pink guava ink. Using the Gina Marie Stitched Nesting Circles, I die cut a large circle from white cardstock. Hi friends! I know that technically today's card says "You are llamazing," but it is actually MY birthday today! So, while you are all pretty llamazing, so am I! Cheers, it's a fiesta! Today I am celebrating my 21st birthday!
For the second time. . . ; ) Card details:
The base of this slimline card ( measuring 8 1/2" x 3 1/2") is made from Black Taffy cardstock. I cut a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and adhered it directly to the black card base. In the upper left corner I stamped the sentiment "You are llamazing" in Black Taffy sugar cube. Using a grassy border die, I die cut the grass from Rich Cactus cardstock. I stamped all of the images from the RG Avenue "Stick Together" stamp set in Black Taffy sugar cube and colored the images with Copic markers. I ran the colored images through my Scan & Cut to cut them out. Then I began adhering the images to the card using foam adhesive for added dimension. I arranged the cacti in a rainbow pattern from red to violet. I added a couple randomly placed rhinestones at the top of the card filling up the white space. Lastly, I added a coat of Dazzling Pat to all the images for added sparkle.
Thanks for sharing in my birthday celebration here with me. Cheers to many more!

Hello friends and happy BLACK Friday! Best of luck to you brave souls who dare to venture out on this day because I want no part of it! Those crowds are not for me! Today, you will find me shopping local at the Butterfly Reflections, Ink in New Hampshire for my very first time! Be sure to follow along on Instagram to see all the behind the scenes photos from the store and more. I'm excited because it is also the shop owner, Vanessa's birthday, so I will get to wish her a happy birthday in person. To celebrate, a large group of current and past Design Team members, along with some special guests, will be doing a blog hop on Instagram sharing cards that were inspired by some of Vanessa's favorite things: the color fushia, cute critters (she LOVES Hello Bluebird), coffee and pumpkin spice. Here is the card I created for her:
Card details:
This slimline card ( 8 1/2" x 3 1/2") was made from Berry Burst cardstock. The first matted layer is a 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Neenah Solar White smooth cardstock. I die cut the mountains in Blushing Bride cardstock using the Hello Sweetums Mountains of Fun dies. I die cut the trees using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Trees dies. I stamped all of the critters, trees and presents from the Hello Bluebird Frosty Friends stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them using Copic markers. I added highlights to some of the images with a Uniball White Gel pen. I also added Lawn Fawn ultrafine glitter to the snowbanks and critters' hats. I added many of the images to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the card in Berry Burst ink. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the images for added sparkle.
Here are the Copic colors I used for coloring:

Welcome back from the weekend! There's no better time to share a coffee themed card than on a Monday morning, because we all need it! Well, except me, I gave up caffeine (again) last week, and ugh, the withdrawals on days 4-6 were not pretty friends. . . But, this java girl has made my Monday slightly better with those boxes of donuts piled sky high! Give me ALL the Boston cream's!
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies by Gina Marie Designs, I die cut a piece of Tangy Apple Sugar Cuts cardstock. Using the Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies by Gina Marie Designs, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock to mount to the green background. Using the Sweet Cane Sugar Drops, I splattered some ink on the white cardstock. I punched out a scrap piece of foil coffee scripted paper in a large circle and adhered it to the center of the card. I printed out the Birthday Girl stamp set from my computer onto Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I colored the java girl image with my Copic markers and printed the image out using my Scan and Cut. I adhered the girl to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I wrapped a piece of salmon ribbon around the card and knotted it just below her knee line. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the girl for added sparkle.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative (and caffeinated) day!

Today I am sharing a card that honestly I didn't think I would enjoy, but as it turns out I'm loving the end result! I loathe balloons and when I say loathe, I mean detest, despise, HATE (the four letter word my mother told me never to use) them. Everything about them makes me cringe. The texture, the smell, that horrible sound when you rub your fingers across them, and oh dear Lord, the God awful balloon popping. It sends my anxiety through the roof! But, these balloon animals with their oversized eyes are really quite fun (in paper form only!) and this would make for a great kid's birthday card. This is the October Monthly Card Kit release from RG Avenue called "Pop It."
Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Sweet Cane cardstock. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle Dies by Gina Marie Designs, I cut the first layer from Neenah White Solar Smooth cardstock. I printed the Pop It digital stamp on Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock and colored in the balloons using Copic markers. I added some highlights to each colored image using a white gel pen. I ran the entire digital stamp through my Scan & Cut in order to die cut the colored images. I adhered linen thread behind the balloons before placing them on the card using 3M foam adhesive. I printed out the digital stamped sentiment and adhered it to the lower left corner using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the balloons for added sparkle.
Thank you for visiting! I appreciate that you took the time to stop by and I hope you leave here feeling creative and inspired.
