Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I have been crazy busy re-painting my entire house for the last two weeks. Yes, I mean ENTIRE house! Walls, ceilings, baseboards, heat registers, window trim, and crown molding! All of it! No, I didn't decide to just do one room of the house, but every single room. Two weeks into this project, I'm completely regretting that decision! Note to self - next time start with ONE room. I'm utterly exhausted and have pretty much burned both nostrils from the scents of primer, polyurethane and bleach. But, despite the perpetual tiredness and body aches and pains, I must say, the house is looking quite nice and it feels fresh and new again after 14 years.
I wish I could say that I've been busy making cards, but honestly, I haven't been in my craft room in over a month now! There simply has not been any time. So, for now, I'll be sharing some cards I made during my social media hiatus and during the transition from Super Stamp Girl to this new website. Today's beautiful floral cards feature the Peruvian Lily stamp set from Altenew. This stunning color layering set has rapidly become one of my current favorite floral stamp sets. Card details:
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Gina Marie Designs Scalloped Stitched rectangle dies, I die cut the rectangle also from the Neenah Solar White Smooth paper. I stamped the layers of the Peruvian Lily in Coastal Cabana ink, Marina Mist ink, Daffodil Delight ink and Calypso Coral ink. The stamen of each flower was stamped in Tuxedo Memento black ink. I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink and Granny Apple Green ink. All the ink colors I use are from Stampin' UP! I die cut both lilies out and layered them on the card front using 3M foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner using Tuxedo Memento Black ink. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and it is called "Inside & Out Birthday II." I added a couple randomly placed clear rhinestones and then lastly, I added a layer of Clear Wink of Stella over both flowers for added sparkle.
Here is the beautiful Peruvian Lily stamp set from Altenew that I used to create today's cards:
Using the same Peruvian Lily stamp set I created a second card, in another color palette, to show you the versatility of this beautiful stamp.
For this card I used the following ink colors: Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I also added pink rhinestones in lieu of clear rhinestones.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
XO, Crystal

Hello readers and happy Thursday! Today I have a special invitation for YOU! I am looking for 6-10 fellow cardmakers to create with beginning in May. You don't need to live locally, but, within the United States please, for shipping purposes only. Each month I will send you a small envelope of supplies that you will use to create a card. Everyone in the group will receive the exact same supplies each month. Once your card is completed, you send it back to me before the end of the month. The idea is to see how vastly different our cards can be despite all using the same elements! I will feature ALL of your cards the following month right here on the website. Yes, I will also participate and create my own card too! Who? Anyone! You! Your sister, your sister's cousin, your sister's cousin's best friends' mother. . . Everyone! *I'll take up to the first 10 people that leave a comment below with their name and email address. What? A FREE monthly card making "club!" I will even send you the SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) for you to send your completed card back to me! Where? From the comfort of your own home - in pj's if you so desire! When? The first round of Create with Crystal will begin in May and last for 6 months - ending in October. You must have the completed card returned back to me before the month is over. Why? Simply for the fun of it! I look forward to hearing from you and hope you will join me! Further details will be provided to those who participate in your monthly envelope. XO, Crystal
Hello friends! Welcome to the NEW Crystal Komara, the blogging website formerly known as Super Stamp Girl! In January of this year, I took an unannounced short hiatus from all social media in an effort to re-energize my creative self. After blogging, creating and operating Super Stamp Girl (nearly full-time for the past six years) I was losing some of the joys I found in cardmaking. Remember, I work a real full-time job too! To be honest, I didn't know back then if I would return to blogging or not. But, after a welcome respite, I found I truly did miss it! After hearing from many of you, my readers, fans and friends, who talked of being inspired by my designs and my crafty adventures (and even the mis-adventures!), YOU are all vastly responsible for my crafty return. It is humbling and rewarding to know that my creativity does positively impact that of others. So, thank you! Thank you for your kind words, support and encouragement. I hope to return the very same to each of you. I think you will find Crystal Komara to be one and the same as Super Stamp Girl. I'm still me, just with a fresh new look. Here you will find lots of new cards and inspiration, fun products and probably some of the same ol' crazy cat lady stories! Happy crafting! XO, Crystal
