Hello readers! As we are getting closer and closer to Easter this coming Sunday, I have resigned to the fact that I didn't send any Easter cards out. In my defense, I sent out both St. Patrick's Day AND Valentine's Day cards this year, so I feel like that evens things out! However, last weekend I did find the time to put a couple cards together to share with you for some spring and Easter inspiration this week. Card details:*A full list of supplies is located at the end of this post. The base of this A2 sized card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. I created the background using Adirondack alcohol inks in the colors Sherbet, Lemonade and Watermelon. Using the Altenew Watercolor Stripes Cover Die, I die cut the frame from white cardstock. I stamped the tulip layers in a variety of orange, yellow and pink inks to really show the depth and dimension of this beautiful layering stamp set. I also stamped the leaves in varying shades of greens. I die cut both the leaves, steps and tulips using the coordinating Triumph Tulips dies and adhered them to the card using 3M foam adhesive for added dimension. I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Lastly, I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the tulips for added sparkle. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, CrystalList of supplies:

Hello friends and welcome back from the weekend! Today I am on the Birch Press Design blog sharing three cards made using the beautiful Petal Egg Layering Dies for this trio of Easter inspired cards. You can visit the Birch Press Design blog for detailed information on how I created these cards. Thank you for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, CrystalHello readers! Today I am sharing a slimline card featuring one of my favorite Easter themed stamp sets called "Cottontail Cuties" by Neat and Tangled. Unfortunately earlier this month, Danielle, the owner of Neat and Tangled announced she was closing the store, so you can no longer find this stamp set on the company website. With any luck, you might be able to score it on eBay (for crazy astronomical prices), but I'm going to be sure I hang onto it for a very long time! Card details: *A full list of supplies can be located at the end of this post. This slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2". Slimline cards are designed to fit inside a regular #10 business sized envelope and require no additional postage. The base of this card is made from 80 lb. Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. Using the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set, I die cut the scalloped frame from white cardstock. I ink blended a background using Picked Raspberry and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks. I placed this background behind the white scalloped frame. I stamped the images from the "Cottontail Cuties" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I adhered the colored images to the card using 3M foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment "You put a" and "spring in my step" in purple ink on thin strips of white cardstock. I die cut the word "spring" from both purple glitter paper and white cardstock. I layered the two dies together using Lawn Fawn glue and adhered the sentiments to the card using 3M foam adhesive. Lastly, I added a coat of clear Wink of Stella to the images for added sparkle. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day! XO, CrystalList of supplies: |
